Exciting opportunity awaits you as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech in the vibrant community of South Charleston, WV! If you’re a skilled Cardiac Cath Tech with certifications including ARRT, BLS, and either Certified Cardiac Interventional Rad Tech (ARRT (CI)) or Certified Vascular Interventional Rad Tech (ARRT (VI)), we want to hear from you! In this fast-paced environment, you'll be working in two state-of-the-art suites, handling an average of 10 cases a day, including diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, and IABP procedures.
As a key player in our Cardiac Cath lab, familiarity with sterile technique and prior Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience are essential. You'll scrub in and assist our physicians, while RNs handle circulation, sedation, and documentation duties. Your work schedule will typically involve five days a week, with flexible start and stop times depending on scheduled cases. Additionally, be prepared for on-call responsibilities—one week every four weeks, covering weekends and holidays. - #cases per day on average: 10-May
- Required Certifications: BLS and AART
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Temporary pacemaker,
- Job Duties: Rad Techs scrub and assist physician, need to know sterile technique.
RNs circulate, sedate, and complete documentation requirements.
- Experience: Prior Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience. First time traveler okay with good experience.
One year of experience.
- EMR/Equipment: Siemens software and equipment
Shifts & Scheduling: Five days per week, start and stop times are subject to the number of cases
scheduled and the times they are scheduled.
- Weeknight/Call Requirement: One week of on call per four week schedule. Monday 7 AM to
following Monday at 7 Am. For that week. Call can be 7 days in a row or broken up throughout the schedule. Any hours off the clock, they are on call.
- Weekend/Call Requirement: Friday after hours until Monday Morning0700 (if they are not doing
the Monday- Monday call time.)
- Holiday/Call Requirement : Rotational
- Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement?: Yes, Rad Techs.
- What is call response time?: 30 minutes
- Floating Requirements: No- if extra hours wanted, there are units they can go to if they have
experience.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Surgical attire- provided.
- Unit/Department specific orientation: General hospital orientation. Computer training in the department, one week or up to 36 hours of orientation time to the department.
