Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse — Travel Assignment

Pikeville, Kentucky | Nights | $56 per hour base pay

Sable Corporation is recruiting for three Med/Tele RN openings with ASAP starts at Pikeville Medical Center. Join the medical nursing team for an eight-week travel assignment caring for young adult, adult and elderly patients who need medical-surgical care and cardiac monitoring.

Schedule and assignment

Four 12-hour night shifts each week, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., with a 48-hour workweek listed by the facility. The eight-week assignment runs from the confirmed start date. Exact dates, meal arrangements and final assignment terms will be confirmed before placement.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patients, plan individualized nursing care, evaluate responses and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide cardiac monitoring, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, medication administration, pain management and IV therapy.
• Manage central lines, specialized IV drips and titration, chest tubes, TPN/PPN and transfusion therapy within competency and facility policy.
• Recognize changes in patient condition, coordinate with the care team, and provide patient and family education.


Required qualifications

• RN license valid for practice in Kentucky; license or application status will be reviewed, and authorization to practice must be confirmed before starting.
• Associate degree in nursing.
• At least two years of relevant nursing experience and at least one year of travel nursing experience.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale and EKG competency as required by the facility.
• Availability for the 48-hour night schedule and facility scheduling needs.


Preferred qualifications

BSN and five years of relevant nursing experience.

Compensation and application

Base hourly pay is $56. Overtime and any applicable travel package will be explained in the assignment agreement.
