Job Description:

Join the Acute Care Med/Surg Telemetry Unit at a major academic medical center providing high-volume, high-acuity care to adult and geriatric patients. This fast-paced environment is ideal for skilled Med/Surg Tele RNs who excel in cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, post-surgical recovery, and complex medical management.

As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you’ll care for diverse diagnoses including cardiac telemetry, post-MI, CVA, renal failure, ortho trauma, neuro injuries, GI conditions, and complex post-operative patients. This unit demands strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage up to 1:6 patient ratios.

Requirements:

✔️ Minimum 2 years of RN experience
✔️ Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
✔️ Epic charting experience – required
✔️ Certifications:
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
✔️ Travel experience: Not required

IV starts & maintenance
Central line care
Port access
PICC management
Blood product administration

Cardiac:
Telemetry (unit & remote)
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Dysrhythmia management
Cardiac drip management (no titration)
Post-MI care

CPAP/BiPAP
Chest tubes (PleurEvac)

ABG interpretation
Neurological:
