REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
* Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA), is required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
* MUST HAVE Orthopedics, General and Robotic Surgery experience
* 3+ years of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility.
* Performs duties according to scope of practice designated by Barrett Hospital & HealthCare as identified in the role and responsibilities and according to industry recognized professional organizations and certification boards.
* Prepares the equipment, instruments and supplies during surgery as well as protects the sterile area.
* Must have a clear understanding of the surgical procedure being performed in order to anticipate needs of the performing surgeon.
