Pay Rate: $28.00-$44.00/HR (based on experience/education/certifications)

Registered Nurses in the Perianesthesia Unit at UK Good Samaritan Hospital provide care primarily to adult patients between 12-100 years of age. The unit provides pre surgery care and recovery from outpatient and inpatient surgical care and treats patients in a variety of areas including: Orthopedics; Ear, Nose and Throat; Cosmetic and Plastic surgery as well as general surgical procedures including gallbladder, thyroid, appendectomy and benign gynecological.
Perioperative Services is comprised of the following areas: pre-operative holding; recovery/post anesthesia care (phase I and phase II). The number of patients that receive care on a daily basis varies according to OR schedule.

1. Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license that is in good standing and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date
2. Critical Care or related experience
BSN + AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF RN EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
