We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Step Down Unit team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients with a variety of health conditions ranging from simple to complex. The RN will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and leadership abilities—particularly in Preceptor and Charge Nurse roles.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients.
Monitors, documents, and reports patient responses to treatments and interventions.
Assists physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
Observes patients for changes in physiological and psychological conditions and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products safely and accurately.
Communicates effectively with patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions.
Delegates appropriate nursing tasks to support staff and oversees quality of care.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: $2,430/week for Traveler | $61/hour for Local
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of recent Step Down/Intermediate Care experience required.
Travel nursing experience required.
Preceptor and Charge Nurse experience preferred.
Current BLS (AHA)
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
