Job Details
RN - ICU (7-week assignment)
Shift: Rotating (Days/Nights)
Must have acute care experience.
NO block scheduling.
Charge Capability: Highly Preferred
Floating Required: Yes
Scrub Color: Any color
Must work every other major holiday
Travel preferred
Current AHA BLS and ACLS is required at time of submission
Flu vaccine required during season.
EMR Exp Preferred: EPIC
Duties
Deliver advanced patient assessments, including vital signs, physiological monitoring, and comprehensive physical examinations to determine immediate care needs.
Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, ventilator management, and aseptic techniques with precision and adherence to protocols.
Manage airway interventions, including intubation and ventilator support, ensuring optimal respiratory function for critically ill patients.
Monitor patients continuously using advanced EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; document all medical records accurately following HIPAA guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians and specialists in trauma medicine, infectious disease care, cardiology, and other disciplines to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Perform invasive procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), and specimen collection while maintaining sterile technique.
Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing basic life support (BLS) protocols and triage assessments in accordance with hospital standards.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medication administration, pain management strategies, and post-discharge care instructions.
