LDRP / Mother–Baby RN

Join a supportive LDRP unit providing care for labor, delivery, postpartum mothers, and Level II NICU newborns. The unit uses Meditech EMR and includes 9 postpartum beds and 3 labor and delivery beds.

This role requires working every other weekend and holiday, with call required. Nurses may also float to other nursing units as needed.

Patient care includes labor and delivery patients, couplet care for mothers and newborns, GYN patients, and occasional medical/surgical overflow. The unit also supports Level II NICU newborns with a lowest gestational age of 34 weeks.

Clinical responsibilities include epidurals, circumcisions, CPAP/BiPAP management, blood product administration, and line management such as drains, feeding tubes, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps. IV medications titrated on the unit include insulin and magnesium sulfate.

The unit follows an LDRP model, admitting antepartum patients from 23+ weeks. Nurses attend deliveries, including high-risk cases, and support transition nursery and NICU care.
