Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Support the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, Dr Chrono, to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
* Comprehensive Assessment: Conducting detailed physical exams and evaluating patient medical histories to determine the underlying causes of pain.
* Treatment Planning: Developing individualized, interdisciplinary care plans that may include non-pharmacological methods (physical therapy, psychotherapy).
* Medication Management: Prescribing and managing pain medications, including monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
* Procedures: Referring patients to physicians that provide procedures like joint injections or nerve blocks.
* Education & Support: Educating patients and families on managing conditions, lifestyle changes (diet, sleep), and pain mechanisms.
* Collaboration: Working within a team, often communicating with physicians, therapists, and specialists, ensuring comprehensive care.
* Documentation: Maintaining accurate medical records, documenting pain levels, and monitoring patient progress.
* Proven experience working with EHR systems such as Dr Chrono or similar platforms; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
* Strong knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT scans and diagnostic radiology procedures.
* Background in specialties such as anesthesiology, psychiatry, neurology, or pain medicine is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings within hospital or hospital-like environments.
* Knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, gastroenterology, and other relevant fields.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient assessment, education, and compassionate care delivery.
* Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in pain management or specific specialties are a plus.
