Adelphi is seeking to urgently recruit an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide direct and indirect services to students while also offering consultation and support to staff members for a School District in Washington, OR. These students range from Elementary to High School and require services referred by the Special Education Program.

Requirements:
• Licensed By The State Of Oregon
• Experience working in Special Education
• Experience in completing required special education paperwork

Responsibilities:
• Conduct Occupational Therapy evaluations and provide direct and indirect services for eligible assigned students.
• Assure that all Occupational Therapy Services are provided in accordance with the state licensure requirements and within standards of professional ethics.
• Offering consultation and support to staff members regarding motor development.
• Motor Skill Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each student’s specific strengths and challenges related to fine and gross motor development.
• Individualized Motor Plans: Create motor development plans for students, based on assessment results.
• One-on-one Interventions: Work with students to provide one-on-one or small group interventions to improve their fine and gross motor skills.
• Sensory Support: For students with sensory needs, develop and implement sensory integration strategies.
• Orthopedic Assistance: Physical therapists and occupational therapists to support students with orthopedic needs.
• Have experience working in Special Education and experience in completing the required Special Education paperwork.
• Diligently complete all essential paperwork to maintain strict adherence to District State and Federal regulations.
• The Provider is pivotal in ensuring a comprehensive grasp of the intricacies of Special Education documentation.
• Carry out a structured and organized process of performing all the required assessments and evaluations needed.
• Comprehension of the specific requirements necessary to determine Special Education eligibility.
• Attend all mandatory Special Education meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP), evaluation and post-evaluation meetings.
• Complete required records and deliver them to the district as necessary in a manner compliant with all current HIPPA regulations.
• Participate in staff development training sessions. These include in-service training for teachers and school personnel.
• Establish a dedicated schedule for maintenance, repairs, and training related to critical student equipment used by the Motor Development Team.
