Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN travel jobs at SITE - Proton Beam in Royal Oak, MI let you provide specialized care to children undergoing advanced cancer treatments in a collaborative hospital environment. You will assess, monitor, and document patient status using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. You must have an active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Pediatric Oncology APHON certification, port accessing, and IV placement skills are required. Administration and monitoring of chemotherapy are essential. An associate’s degree or higher from an accredited nursing school is required. If you do not have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), you may need to enroll in a BSN program within one year of licensure. Recommended skills include strong clinical assessment, emotional resilience, and the ability to educate families about treatment plans. Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology and proficiency with EMR systems are preferred.
