Operates electroneurodiagnostic equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain; assisting in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain; for preparation of the patient and collection of historical information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. The technician relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish their goals; Patients may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Performs Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) exams and procedures in an EEG lab or intraoperative environment, according to appropriate protocols, providing analysis of disorders of the brain as required.
Prepares patient for procedure; collects historical information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests.
Prepares EEG equipment for procedure. Calibrates and adjusts equipment, ensuring that it is operational prior to procedure.
Maintains equipment in clean, operating condition, and notifies appropriate person/department of equipment problems
Demonstrate understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures within the standards of practice for an EEG lab.
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and services on an on-going basis.

BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Pediatric to Geriatric Experience
EPIC experience
On Call

Surgical Monitoring for Carotid Endarterectomy
Previous intraoperative EEG experience
EEG Certification
Trauma Leve I Experience
