Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team in Utica, NY. This is a high-acuity ED with a diverse patient population, offering a fast-paced environment and advanced specialty equipment.

Travel nurses with strong ED backgrounds, pediatrics exposure, and charge capabilities are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a Level-1 Emergency Department setting.
Work with diverse patient populations: newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
Respond to emergencies including trauma, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, MI, cardiac arrest, etc.
Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infuser and Arctic Sun.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Float within the hospital as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC EMR.

Active New York RN License
Minimum 2+ years of recent ED experience, including some pediatric exposure.
Travel nursing experience is required.
Current AHA certifications:
ACLS
BLS
PALS
NIHSS
TNCC (must be in hand, not in-progress)
