Shard Villa
Shard Villa is a historic, state-licensed Level III Community Care Home dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults in a home-like setting. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and Executive Director to oversee clinical operations, lead our team, and advance the mission of person-centered elder care in a warm, community-focused environment.
The RN/Executive Director serves as both the clinical and administrative leader of Shard villa. This role blends hands-on nursing with strategic leadership, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality resident care, and a thriving community environment. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful leader who values teamwork, innovation, and meaningful resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities
•Oversee all clinical and administrative operations in compliance with Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) regulations.
•Provide direct RN-level care and supervision of resident health plans, medication management, and staff competency.
•Recruit, train, and support a multidisciplinary team to foster a culture of respect, communication, and professional growth.
•Manage budgeting, regulatory inspections, and quality improvement processes.
•Lead grant writing and fundraising efforts to enhance facility programs and capital development.
•Build community partnerships, engage families, and promote Shardvilla’s mission and visibility in the region.
•Ensure all residents receive dignified, holistic care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Salary and Benefits
Range $90,000-$125,000
Based on experience and skillset
•Current Vermont RN license, in good standing.
•Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric, residential, or long-term care settings.
•At least 3 years of leadership or administrative experience in a healthcare or community care environment.
•Demonstrated strengths in team building, communication, and staff mentorship.
•Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or community outreach strongly preferred.
•Strong organizational, financial management, and compliance skills.
