Duties
Demonstrates the ability to utilize and apply nursing processes in a child care setting within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes the appropriate guidelines and information based on the age of the child to foster independence and advancement.
Provides individualized, quality care in a safe enviroment.
Refers inquiries to the appropriate resource.
Performs multiple tasks prioritizing appropriately.
Seeks to provide professional and courteous service to the children and their families.
Relay important information regarding each child’s care to the child’s family in a professional manner.
Participates in a team effort to fulfill goals and work requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA requirements in all situations and interactions.
Perform chart documentation at the time care/direction is given.
Utilizes proper procedure for all care/direction.
Document accurate and complete demographic assessment information on all children.
Provides individualized care to children as directed by the RN Case Manager and physician according to the plan of treatment and care plan.
Reports changes in the condition of the child to the RN Case Manager ensuring that documentation is accurate and appropriately done in a timely manner.
Performs direct client care as described by performance of and assistance with personal care activities, administers prescribed medication and treatment as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act, performance of additional nursing skills and procedures as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act and maintains a clean, healthful, and safe environment.
Identifies the needs of the child and family and reports these to the RN Case Manager.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure.

Must be licensed in the state of the designated facility or, if applicable, have a qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

A minimum of two (2) years current experience as a practicing LPN preferred.

Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.

Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft
