Job Summary:
The Home Health Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for monitoring claim status, researching rejections and denials, documenting related account activities and collections for assigned payers.
Job Responsibilities: -Accurately perform mathematical computations and audit data to detect errors. -Continuously works with rejections, denials and returned claims, performing all necessary follow-up to ensure collection of payments from Insurance providers. -Properly document accounts clearly and status activity.
Skills & Experience: -Minimum of one (1) year of current applicable experience. -Ability to work well within a team environment and manage assigned tasks independently. -Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. -Knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology. -Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database applications, and medical billing applications. -Ability to keyboard 30 wpm. Preferred Skills & Experience: -One (1) year of previous home health billing-related experience. -Experience in collections with Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers. -Wellsky (Kinnser) experience.

diploma or GED.
Strong Billing and Collections experience with a heavy emphasis on the collections side. Hospice or Part A experience is helpful. Commercial payer experience is a must. Candidates should have strong critical thinking skills, excellent follow-up abilities, and hands-on experience working with clearinghouses and commercial payers. They must be proactive, comfortable making calls, and confident using computer systems. Homecare Homebase EMR experience would be a plus, although training will be provided
