Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the direction of the Physical Therapist collaborates in planning and implementing programs that help to restore or improve function in mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients suffering from disease or injury. Services are provided across the full continuum and rendered in a cost conscious, quality focused, and customer-oriented manner. Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards is also required with this role.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Treatment Execution: Implement physical therapy plans and select specific activities to progress patients toward goals under a PT’s direction.
Collaborative Care: Jointly revise goals and plans of care with the PT and the patient/family.
Education & Discharge: Provide ongoing training for families, issue discharge instructions, and handle referrals to community resources or equipment.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict clinical documentation per protocol and adhere to infection prevention and service recovery principles.
Licensure: Complete all discipline-specific educational requirements to maintain active licensure.
Additional note:
Must have experience in Outpatient Ortho.
Mgr. open to reviewing Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant candidates.
Day Shift: Mon-Fri 4x10 hours
Dress code: Business casual
On call: as needed
Weekends: as needed
Holidays: minimum 2 major, 2 minor
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma General
Associates Physical Therapy
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
