Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN L&D) to join a high-performing obstetrics team. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, ensuring safe and positive birth experiences.

Job Description:

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00pm-7:00am. NO block scheduling.
Charge Capability: Highly Preferred
Scrub Color: Any
Must work every other major holiday.
Up to date resume that includes 2+ year(s) of experience in L&D
Documenting travel experience; first time travelers will not be considered
Acute care experience is required.
2 recent L&D Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references.
Skills Checklist matching specialty.
Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics.
Current AHA BLS, ACLS & NRP certifications are required at time of submission.
Flu vaccine required during season.
NURSYS verification report pulled within the last week showing ACTIVE MA RN license; must show ALL licenses (past or present).
RTO must be included at time of submission; it will not be guaranteed after confirmation.
EMR Experience Preferred: EPIC
Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart monitoring
Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and emergencies
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Document patient care accurately and timely
