Registered Nurse – PCU/ICU

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced PCU/ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract with rotating day and night 12-hour shifts. This RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a 23-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit, caring for a diverse acuity of patients. This role requires strong critical-thinking skills, comfort with advanced respiratory support, and the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary care team.

Schedule

13-week contract

3x12 shifts, rotating days/nights

72 hours per pay period

Includes weekends

No call required

Never works alone

No floating to outside units

General Responsibilities

Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages using the full nursing process

Provide direct and indirect patient care, education, and family support

Collaborate with ancillary and interdisciplinary teams to uphold clinical standards

Perform and manage:

Telemetry monitoring

Dressing changes

IV starts

Ventilator/BIPAP management

Cardiac rhythm interpretation

Equipment & Systems Used

Epic (charting)

Omnicell medication system

Alaris IV pumps

Liko & EZ lifts

Nova StatStrip blood glucose systems

Unit Details

23-bed Med/Surg/ICU mixed unit

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

ICU: 1:1–3 depending on acuity and census

Requirements

Active ND or Compact RN License (or willingness to obtain)

BLS – required

ACLS – required

Minimum 1 year of ICU experience – required

Knowledge of cardiac medications, rhythm interpretation, and care of BIPAP/vent patients

Completion of basic cardiology course (required for ICU staff)
