Impact Lives as a School Nurse in Merrick!

Trusting Hands Homecare Agency is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one (1:1) care for a 2nd grade student in the Merrick School District. This is a school-based assignment with an immediate start.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

8:15 AM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 skilled nursing care for a student with X-Linked Myotubular Myopathy (XLMTM), a rare neuromuscular disorder that causes muscle weakness and hypotonia.

Manage tracheotomy, G-tube, and ventilator care.

Ride the bus with the student to and from school daily.

Assist with lifting in and out of the wheelchair for physical therapy and toileting.

Monitor health status and provide ongoing communication with school staff and family.

Student Profile:

Tracheotomy, G-tube, ventilator dependent

Uses AAC device for communication

Motorized wheelchair

Requires assistance with transfers

Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay – W2 and 1099 options available.
