Adelphi is seeking qualified Registered Nurses to provide School Nursing Services in a school setting in Spring Valley, New York. The ideal candidate will provide professional nursing services to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student health, safety, and continuity of care.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant credential issued by the Georgia Department of Community Health or the American Association of Medical Assistants.

• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

• Previous school clinic, pediatric, medical office, or student health care experience preferred.

• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures, infection control, and documentation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide professional nursing services to students.

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with assigned school, transportation, or one-to-one assignment.

• Assess student health needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions.

• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.

• Administer medications and treatments as authorized.

• Maintain accurate student health records and required documentation.

• Ability to maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA requirements.

• Communicate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.

• Ensure compliance with district policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.

• Promote a safe and healthy school environment.

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the District.
