NYS Veterans Home at Batavia

The NYS Veterans Home at Batavia is a model residential health care facility built in 1995. It is operated by the NYS Department of Health. This 126-bed facility provides quality rehabilitation care as well as long term skilled nursing care for Veterans and their eligible dependents. Our campus is a special community providing security, services, and companionship for Veterans and their qualified dependents. The single story, barrier free design allows residents in walkers and wheelchairs to move around freely and safely both indoors and outdoors. Its physically attractive grounds and accommodations combined with a sincere atmosphere of caring, makes life at the Veterans Home pleasant, enjoyable, and comfortable. Residents are encouraged to participate in the Home’s operations through the Resident Council. The Councils’ recommendations are consistently implemented to increase the residents’ quality of care and life.
