Owned and operated by lifelong Fredonia resident, Debbie ‘Reed’ Shinkle, Home Town Health Care is a second-generation company, family strong and focused on patient care. When patients come first, the quality of life improves dramatically for the patient, their family, and our staff. Home Town Health Care has been in business since January 2007 and remains deficiency free. A small family-owned operation with roots in Fredonia, Kansas, Home Town Health Care is now a thriving company with eight locations approved to service 45 counties with over 400 patients throughout Eastern Kansas. True to its name, Home Town Health Care hires local people with deep roots through family and community ties in the areas we serve. The company was started to serve family and friends, and our team continues to do this. You too can be a part of a home town community and grow your roots in communities where you will make a difference. We provide each employee with all the supplies needed, a nursing bag to carry those supplies, an iPad for charting at the patient’s home, and a company car for home visits. You will not have to supply anything for patients or use your vehicle; Home Town has all this covered. Our nurses, therapist, and aides are able to spend more one-on-one time with patients, without the distractions found in a facility! The team can really focus on their patients, taking the time to provide quality care, and educate them and their family. Our home health nurses say this is the most rewarding field of healthcare.
