Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Acute Care Hospital team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality therapy services to patients with acute and chronic conditions while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with acute and chronic disorders.
Implement functional activity programs to promote recovery and independence.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing per facility guidelines.
Participate in fall risk assessments, infection prevention, and National Patient Safety Goals compliance.
Collaborate with care teams to support overall patient outcomes.
Float between like units as needed.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Comfortable working with various patient conditions and across units.
Must include all requested time off (RTO) at time of submission.
Willingness to adhere to schedule flexibility, including possible block scheduling (subject to manager discretion).
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Experience:
At least 1 year of relevant occupational therapy experience in an acute care setting.
License:
Active California Occupational Therapist License.
Certifications:
Manual Therapy
Hand Therapy
Skills:
Proficient in Epic charting system.
Strong knowledge of infection prevention, fall risk assessment, billing, and treatment of acute and chronic disorders.
Ability to implement functional activities to support patient recovery
Active California Occupational Therapist License.
