Nurse Manager of Telemedicine (Hybrid/Remote)
The Nurse Manager of Facilitated Telemedicine will provide leadership, administrative, and clinical support to clients innovative facilitated telemedicine and care coordination initiatives. Overall responsibilities include supervision of the facilitated telemedicine team, collaboration with clinical staff to plan, implement, manage, and evaluate telehealth programs, processes, and care coordination of participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to meet the needs of their team and participants.
Serves as an integral member of an interprofessional care management team working alongside medical providers, nurses, health educators, social service staff, and other care team members.
Manages daily facilitated telemedicine operations to assure optimal efficiency and high-quality care.
Acts as hiring manager, including onboarding, providing initial and ongoing training, and appropriate corrective action for Telemedicine Medical Assistants and Care Coordinators.
Ensures safe clinical practice in the day-to-day activities.
Utilizes nursing theory and creative and innovative approaches to improve and impact health outcomes.
Oversees inventory and ordering of supplies, pharmaceuticals, durable medical and specialized telemedicine equipment.
Assists management to write, research and edit key documents (e.g., reports, strategic work plans, proposals, and presentations) for quality and sustainability of telehealth programs and initiatives.
Coordinates activities necessary to achieve and maintain the quality and sustainability of telehealth programs within the clinical practice setting.
Develops strategies and processes to identify, outreach, enroll and deliver care to participants in the telehealth programs.
Develops processes and protocols to collect data and measure program outcomes, success, and challenges.
Attends regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders – such as Department of Healthcare Finance, DC Health, and Managed Care Organizations.
Ensures and fosters communication and collaboration among all members of the care team to guarantee the best quality of care for participants.
