Private Duty Nurse- LPN

Atlantic Homecare Services is currently seeking qualified and compassionate LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse) for a Pediatric home care case in Four Oaks. The schedules will vary weekly. This case, the parents are divorced and live 10 minutes away from each other. Mom is in need of Thursday & Friday 6a-4pm | Dad is looking for Thursday & Friday 7a-5pm and E/O Saturday 7a-3pm. They alternate weeks.

Client: 15-Year-Old Male
Diagnosis: Absence epileptic syndrome, not intractable, without status epilepticus
Needs: G-tube, hoyer in home, oxygen

Duties would include the following:
Assistance with ADL's
Documenting vitals
Educating patients/ families
Meal preparation
Gastrostomy care
General nursing care
Monitoring diet
Charting health information
Attending doctors appointments with clients
Monitoring medical status changes
Medication administration

Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a licensed Nurse

- Active North Carolina (or other valid compact state nursing license) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing

- Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association or American Red Cross accredited course

- Must provide documentation of a negative TB/PPD screening (or Chest X-Ray) obtained within the past year

- Clean Criminal Background Report
