We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team in Watertown, NY. This role requires an experienced nurse who is confident in delivering safe, high-quality care across multiple units, including Med-Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care (PCU), and Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation for orthopedic and neurological patients.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic hospital environment. Adaptability and confidence in floating between units are essential.
Schedule & Work Conditions
36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a).
Weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts required as part of the assignment.
Must be able to float safely between MS, Tele, PCU, and Rehab units as staffing needs demand.
Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility.

About the Facility
This position is located in Watertown, New York, serving a community hospital that supports a wide range of patient care needs. The MS/Tele Float RN plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of patient care throughout the hospital's medical-surgical, PCU, and rehabilitation units.
Current and active New York RN license (must be valid at time of submission).
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Strong proficiency with Meditech EMR.
Minimum 1 completed and successful travel assignment is required.
First-time travelers will not be considered.
PCU or step-down experience highly preferred due to float expectations.
