Shift: Days | 6:30a–3:00p | 5x8s (Mon–Fri) | 40 hrs/week | 13 Weeks
🚫 No local candidates within 50 miles preferred (if applicable)

Job Description:
Join a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center at the University of Kansas Hospital – Main Campus, serving as a key member of a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical team. This OR role requires an experienced RN confident in complex scrub cases, advanced surgical services, and trauma-level procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for OR nurses who thrive in high-stakes environments and want to work with cutting-edge technology, including DaVinci robotic cases, major head & neck surgeries, neurosurgical spine procedures, and exploratory laparotomies.
You must be confident, clinically sharp, and able to adapt across multiple surgical services.

Requirements:
✔️ Minimum 2 years OR RN experience
✔️ Level I Trauma experience REQUIRED
✔️ Strong scrub experience REQUIRED (must meet at least ONE of the following):

DaVinci robot cases

Major head & neck cases

Neuro spine

Exploratory laparotomy (ex lap) surgeries
✔️ License:

KS RN OR Compact RN License – in hand
✔️ Certifications: BLS (AHA)
✔️ On-Call: Up to 6 call shifts per 13-week contract
✔️ Floating: Will float to ALL ORs
✔️ Holidays: Not required (holiday hours deducted if scheduled day falls on a holiday)
