Requirements
Uses medical imaging equipment to produce images of a body part, taken from different angles and by computer produces cross sectional images.
-Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
-Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
-Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
-Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
-Examining images to ensure they’re usable
-Updating patient medical information
-Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
-Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
-Peds exp req.
-AHA BLS req
-CT registry preferred, but not req.
-Gray scrubs.
