Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN III) – Medical/Surgical
Department: Nursing Services
Reports To: Unit Manager / Nursing Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Travel RN III – Medical/Surgical provides safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and postoperative needs. This experienced nurse functions independently, adapts quickly to new environments, and demonstrates advanced clinical judgment and leadership in diverse hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Manage care for multiple patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.

Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses.

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to team members.

Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN license in state of assignment.

Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg experience (hospital setting required).

Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

BSN and national certification (CMSRN) preferred.

Ability to adapt to changing clinical environments and flexible scheduling.
