Registered Nurse – Adult Psychiatric Unit

Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

We are seeking Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RNs) who are committed to promoting mental wellness, safety, and recovery for adult patients in our 98-bed behavioral health unit. You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values compassion, teamwork, and professional growth.
Position Summary
The Psych RN provides direct clinical patient care, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment for individuals with behavioral health needs. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients while supporting the unit’s daily operations and fostering a therapeutic environment.
This role includes supervising assigned staff, collaborating with providers and support personnel, and ensuring care meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to adult psychiatric patients
Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress
Safely administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinical team members
Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and recovery resources
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (required)
Graduate of an accredited or state-approved school of nursing (required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
Current CPR certification (required)
Previous experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing (preferred but not required)
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
