Description

Ophthalmologist

Black Owl Recruiting is looking for a qualified full time or part time Ophthalmologist to work for our client in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Candidates can look to work the majority of the time in the Rochester Hills location, but can also expect to work partially at a satellite office in Macomb, Michigan.



Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and ocular health.

• Prescribe and fit corrective lenses or recommend other vision aids.

• Perform surgical procedures, such as LASIK or cataract surgery, when necessary.

• Provide post-operative care and follow-up to ensure proper healing and recovery.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress.



Schedule: 8:15 am - 3:30 pm (non-surgery days); 7am-12pm (Surgery days); Monday - Friday (35 hours per week average)

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an ophthalmology residency program - Board certification in ophthalmology .

• Valid state medical license to practice as an ophthalmologist .

• Strong knowledge of ophthalmology systems, medical coding, anatomy, and physiology.

• Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, and staff members.

• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
