- Handle processing and shipment of lab samples following IATA/DOT regulations (with training).
- Attend study meetings and complete required training (GCP, HIPAA, Protocol-specific).
- Perform nursing assessments and conduct protocol-related procedures (vitals, ECGs, infusions, pharmacokinetic sampling, etc.).
- Administer investigational products (drugs, devices, biologics) per protocol.
- Monitor patient responses to investigational products and provide clinical care.
- Assess, document, and report Adverse Events (AEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) to the PI and sponsor.
- Provide patient education and serve as a clinical resource for participants throughout the study.

Responsibilities. The Registered Nurse (RN) performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following core job duties:
 
Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required time-frame after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment is required.
Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Coordinate and plan the admission workflow, print Integra and Care 360 requisitions, assure collected samples are properly labeled
Level of Care transfers in AVATAR
Administrative functions, e.g., scanning documents into AVATAR, assisting with the work schedule, assisting BHT’s with the creation/modification of observation sheets
Admission and discharge audits. Check/audit the proper completion of any nursing procedure (at discretion of DON) to assure compliance.

Gives change of shift report to oncoming employees in a complete and accurate manner. Communicates with other department completely and accurately. Reports critical lab values to the physician in a timely manner according to policy. Maintains and restocks emergency carts, room and general supplies. Other duties as assigned.
