We are seeking a RN to work with the Refugee Health Program.
This person would:
+ Conducts health history, and nurse assessments for Refugee
+ Health clients to determine services indicated for eligible clients within 90 days of arrival to the U.S. as outlined by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
+ The nurse assessment includes, but is not limited to vital signs, head-to-toe assessment, postural assessment, vision and hearing screenings, mini mental health screenings.
+ Will obtain and maintain nursing credentialing to perform refugee health assessments.
+ Prepares room, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies for examinations.
+ Performs phlebotomy and collects and processes other specimens for laboratory testing.
+ Orders laboratory testing, places and reads tuberculin skin tests (TSTs), then counsels, interviews and educates clients regarding disease process, prevention, and referrals as needed.
+ Facilitates clinic flow to ensure timely services to clients.
+ Interacts with case managers and clinicians in the community to access care for clients including making referrals to other community providers.
+ Works on a clinical and clerical team to ensure clients are scheduled for appointments, documentation is completed in the client’s electronic health record (Health Management System [HMS]) and Florida SHOTS and all services are provided as outlined by state and federal guidelines.
+ Conducts vaccine inventory and temperature logging to ensure vaccines are not lost or wasted.
+ Helps manage clinical and office supply inventory and reorder supplies when needed.
+ Attends all state and local refugee health meetings as assigned.

Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
