Salary: Competitive salary plus additional bonus for night shifts and weekends
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients. Carries out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population. Coordinates care delivery and education through collaboration with patient, family and all health care team providers to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient's needs, and triage patient care.
- Anticipates and intervenes in an appropriate and timely manner when there are concerns related to patient and staff safety.
- Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices and other institutions.
- Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.
- Develops, implements and evaluates plan of care that recognizes changes in the patient's condition and adapts plan as needed.
- Performs nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs for new and ongoing patients.
- Provides patient/family education using resources available.
- Utilizes technology correctly for functions related to patient care delivery, mandatory programs/competencies and policies/procedures.
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or compact license
- Healthcare Provider CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) or obtained within 14 days of hire
