Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology - (RN-OPOnc)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $1394.00 - 1537.00
The role of this RN in this clinic is to provide customer service to our patient while coordinating and maintaining clinic flow.
Their daily tasks are as follows:
" Coordinate for Gamma knife procedures
" Complete standard screenings such as pain, fall, international exposure, distress, allergy, medication update, vitals, etc.
" Complete patient education as appropriate, expected the nurse will need assistance with this piece if the nurse does not have radiation experience
" The nurse will see consult appointments, weekly see appointments (these are patients currently receiving treatment who must see a physician every 5 treatments to help manager symptoms from treatment), and follow ups.
" The nurse will initiate the insurance clearance process for our billing team to complete.
" Triage consult requests
" Triage phone calls for symptom management
" Entering technical appointment charges and supply charges as appropriate
" Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as the Brain and Spine center, DI, social work, nutrition, schedulers, Medical Assistants, etc.
TX RN LIC
Experienced outpatient clinic RN needed. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of oncology outpatient clinical experience or 3 years outpatient clinic experience.Multiple travel assignments at large teaching hospitals.
Experience in Radiation Oncology outpatient clinic preferred
EPIC experience a plus.
