Performs all aspects of indirect patient care in an environment that optimizes
patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Communicates and interacts with the patient/family, department staff and
medical staff regarding patient care.
Prepares and compiles records in the Medical Surgical Unit; logs patient
information in the computer system.
Schedules appointments, procedures and surgeries, as ordered by physicians or
physician’s offices, per policy and procedure, consulting with other departments
Interacts professionally and positively with patient/family and provides
explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in
keyboarding and basic computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology/medical
experience preferred. Current LPN or CNA preferred.
Approximately 30 hours/week; days may vary
Every third weekend - days (Saturday and Sunday)
