RN - Psychiatric - 12 Hour Night Shifts, 36 Hours Per Week, 13 Week Contract.Start Date: ASAP! (FS) Hospital with all paper charting. RN's are responsible for admissions, D/C's, treatment plans. Hospital staffs to acuity, not patient ratios.We offer a continuum of inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for mental health and substance abuse treatment for adults, 18 and older.The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients and families, supervising assigned team members.Identifies patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patient and others in a position to understand care requirementAssessment: Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.Report any signs or symptoms of infection in patients to the Infection Control Nurse.Verify the accuracy of patient records.Document patient information, document and reassess any significant changes in the patient’s condition in compliance with facility policy.Intervention:Employ principles of communication, interviewing techniques, problem solving and crisis intervention when performing psychotherapeutic interventions.Intervention is based on knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures, as well as the plan of care. Accurately administer medication to patients. Transcribe and carry out physician’s/licensed practitioner’s treatment orders accurately. Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies.Treatment Planning:Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):Licensure:Currently licensed to practice by the Oregon State Board of Nursing Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Training: Successful completion of CPR certification, Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed. We also provide a round trip flight or mileage reimbursement ($0.50 a mile, capped at $1,000 per 13-Week Contract). We do not provide rental cars on this assignment.

Job Requirements


• OR State RN License.
• BLS Certification (Must Be AHA).
• CPR Certification.
• Successful Completion of a Medication Administration Exam before Administering Medication.
• Crisis Mgmt. & Service Excellence Training must occur within 90 Days of Employment.
• Travel Experience. Our company's Joint Commission standards require 1-year experience in this field within the past 3 years to qualify. This experience must be documented on your resume! In order to submit your file, we require and updated Resume an Skills Checklist ( provided by our company) , and two references or work evaluations from your last two travel assignments.
