Provides care to assigned residents and staff members in a caring, safe and efficient manner; and is responsible to perform the following to Paradise Valley Estate’s mission, campus standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans:
Manages independent residents’ health and wellness. Provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations. Responsible for tracking and evaluating all e-calls. Follows approved procedures in all aspects and updates documentation when needed.
Safeguards residents’ property. Maintains peoples’ self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information. Provides individuals with opportunities for independence and choice.
Observes and documents observations and care given to residents. Assures physician’s orders are processed. Receives and shares information appropriately; observes and reports residents; conditions. Directs and assists with resident, family/significant other education.
Demonstrates knowledge and responds appropriately to emergency needs in any situation (choking, falls, convulsions, fire and disaster situations, etc.) Demonstrates safe use of oxygen, slide boards, and all other equipment in a manner that makes people feel safe; utilizes good body mechanics during all transfers and other physical tasks. Notifies maintenance and other appropriate staff of problems.
Uses standard precautions by using personal protective equipment and observes transmission guidelines, gels/ washes hands between cares. Reports/assures timely follow up of signs/symptoms of resident infections.
Updates other staff on changes in work or workplace.
Accountable for quality care implemented in compliance with legal mandates and under the guidelines of the policies and procedures of Paradise Valley Estates.
Manages employee health, physicals and first aid. Complies with the policies and procedures in Employee Health and Paradise Valley Estates.
Manager on Duty responsibilities during the weekend shift simultaneously while based in the clinic. Including making rounds at Paradise Valley Estates during the shift and reporting to the scheduled Manager or Director on Duty
Progressive experience in nursing. Training in employee health and/or occupational health nursing practices preferred. Must hold a valid RN license for the State of California or show proof of an application for such. Current CPR certificate.
