Genus Patris Hospice has an immediate opening for a per visit licensed Vocationa Nurse or Registered Nurse that is possibly available to work weekday nights and weekend nights when needed to or be ON CALL . The Registered Nurse/Licensed Voc Nurse will be under the general supervision of the RN Manager. She/he provides intermittent skilled nursing services, communicates the patient's progress with other disciplines and directs, supervises and instruct non-professional hospice aide staff in the provision of personal care to the patient.
Hospice Nurses are nurses who provide care for terminally ill patients. They work with patients, their families and other healthcare professionals during the final stages of life.
A. Is currently licensed in the State of Texas ot in accordance with the Board of Nursing Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact ( NLC) and
B. One (1) year experience as professional nurse preferred
C. Available to be on call on weeknights and weekends on rotation with other on call nurses
D.Bilingual (Preferred but not required.)
E. Available to possible work in a general inpatient hospice.
F. Ability to work in the field setting and exhibited ability to make sound nursing judgement.
G. Ability to assess patient needs and formulate individualized patient care plans with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
H. Effective communication skills
I. Must have and maintain an automobile to be used for work.
