Nurse Practitioner

The selected Nurse Practitioner will deliver a variety of healthcare services, including preventative, chronic and acute services.

Prepares administrative reports that include patient visits, volumes, trends, and referrals to Norwegian American Hospital programs and services.
Oversees all equipment management including; medical supplies, office supplies, cleaning and maintenance supplies.
Assists with annual budget. Works with Foundation to provide information needed for grant writing.
Ensures van is properly maintained and licenses/plate/registration is up to date.
Provides medical, mental health, and health education services to patients and their families and care-takers.
Obtains detailed medical history and perform physical examination on pediatric patients.
Diagnoses and prescribes treatments both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
Maintains accurate records for clinical use and QA activities.
Collaborates with supervising physician and other members of the healthcare team, to include attending care coordination and other patient and clinical meetings.
Ensures lab testing and other testing equipment are working properly, including quality control.
Maintains vaccine management via VFC including attending mandatory meetings.
Proficient on vaccine administration and screenings (lead, hemoglobin, glucose, vision).
Ensure participation in continuing education and training to keep abreast of current developments in the industry.
Provide quality care to patients by following the most current evidence-based guidelines and procedure of practice.
Takes part in quality assurance audits.

Education
Required

Bachelors or better in Nursing.

Masters or better in Nursing.
