HCT seeks an experienced Consultant for a Human Resources Department at a 350+ bed hospital in California. The Consultant’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
•managing the hospital’s Human Resources including employee benefits, employment and recruitment, labor relations, worker’s compensation and staff education,
•representing the hospital collective bargaining and related functions as the primary liaison with all labor representative,
•contributing human resources advice to management, and
•overseeing employee documentation practices and personnel policies.

•Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required
•Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; recent experience in an acute care setting of similar size; demonstrated experience in labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievances and employee issues, and investigations required; California hospital experience required; experience with various types of unions; knowledge of The Joint Commission’s requirements (i.e., turnover, staff competency, etc.)
•License: None required
•Certifications: PHR, SPHR or other comparable certification desirable
•Computer Skills: familiarity of Human Resource information systems and skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
