To assess patients’ nursing care plan needs, plan and provide care based on needs, and evaluate effectiveness of care provided. To assist in the implementation of research protocols.
License to practice professional nursing in Iowa is required.
Minimum of two years of experience in nursing is preferred.
Desirable candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills including competence in IV insertion and phlebotomy, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to accurately perform detail-oriented work.
An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
1-3 years recent (within the last 5 years) acute care nursing experience is required.
Strong clinical nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and assessment.
General computer skills are required including MS Word and Outlook is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required including positive interpersonal skills as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions. Ability to work independently. Excellent time-management skills, and the ability to accurately perform detail-oriented work.
Requires the ability to work some evenings, nights and weekends.
Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is desirable.
Minimum of one-year chemotherapy infusion experience is desirable.
Knowledge of the clinical research process is desirable
