RN Behavioral Manager Inpatient Pediatric
The Nursing Unit Manager has 24-hour accountability and responsibility for a direct care nursing unit/area, providing a vital link between the strategic direction of the organization and the point of care. The Unit Director is responsible for creating safe, healthy environments that support the work of the healthcare team and contribute to patient and employee engagement.
Job Duties:
• Provides clinical knowledge, leadership mentoring, and support to the Assistant Nurse Manager and ED staff. The Nursing Unit Director initiates developmental/performance-based conversations and provides opportunities for professional growth. Cultivates interprofessional relationships and maintains high visibility in the nursing unit.
• Responsible for developing unit goals, action plans, and
outcome monitoring in alignment with the nursing and organizational strategic plan.
-Engages all direct reports in meeting strategic unit
goals.
-Important metrics included Quality, Patient Experience, Employee Engagement, Staff Retention, and Throughput.
• Responsible for budget planning and managing expenses in alignment with global cost-saving initiatives, including, but not limited to, staffing mix and supply management.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is highly preferred.
Salary: $38-$50 per hour
