Job Requirements
To maintain consistent treatment of pressure ulcers and skin problems through direct care of patient’s skin ulcers, pressure ulcers and incisional wounds and other skin issues, and through the monitoring of other caregivers in delegated parts of the plan of care for the patient. The wound care nurse utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention and the delivery of wound care. Provides education to patients, family and staff. This candidate must be wound care certified.
