Job Description
Position Description: The Clinical Manager oversees the work of all clinical staff members, mentors them, provide support and help them improve their skills.
Job duties & responsibilities:
• Ensure that the medical practice and its clinical staff maintain a high level of ethical and professional standards.
• Works to improve the practices of medical services.
• Seeks ways to improve and enhance clinical operations.
• Trains newly hired clinical staff.
• Consults and supports clinical staff with serving patients.
• Assist with ensuring that clinical staff maintains the required CME, license/certification renewals, and further training to improve skills.
• Improve communication among clinical staff.
• Increase clinical staff retention rates.
• Enhance the quality of healthcare services provided.
• Oversee medical supply management which includes ordering, stocking and price shopping.
• Assist with policies and procedures as they pertain to the clinical department.
• Oversee the clinical staffing schedule.
• Assign clinical staff duties as necessary.
• Evaluate the job performance of clinical staff.
• Stay informed and up to date on EMR changes, new regulations, newly approved medications, and changes in health insurance products.
• Assist with Meaningful Use reporting, ensure that clinical staff understand the reporting and documentation requirements.
• Attend Administrative Staff Meetings.
• Identify quality assurance and risk management issues.
• Ensure patient safety – inspect clinical equipment.
• Ensure that clinical staff is utilizing the EMR properly with correct documentation.
• Assist with implementation & training for ICD-10, new PACS, and any other new services or clinical equipment.
• Assist with patient education material
• Assist with MIPS / MACRA requirements • Oversight of BPCIA Program Required Skills

Education & Experience
• BSN (RN) or Nurse Practitioner
