HWOFC Back Office Assistant

Position Summary

The Back Office Assistant at HWOFC is responsible for facilitating the flow of patients in the office. The goal of this position is to assist clinical staff in coordinating care through the different areas in the office, stocking clinical areas, tracking lab results and patient documents, filling out lab requisition forms, and performing office procedures such as EKG, and PFT. This position is heavily administrative in nature.

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Completing administrative back-office tasks

· Assisting RNs with moving patients through the office

· Retrieving needed test results

· Monitoring outstanding lab work and tracking diagnostic imagining, radiology orders, and patient requests

· Assist in labeling and managing patient documents

· Assist nurses with patient vital signs, monitoring patients as needed

· Stock rooms and inventory supplies

· Assist in packaging labs

· Answering patient phone calls as appropriate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required

· Strong organizational skills required

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Ability to function in a team setting required

· Qualifications: LPN, MA, or CNA preferred but not required
