At the Miami Beach Comprehensive Wellness Center, we go beyond the world of conventional medicine by combining intellect with intuition. Utilizing an individualized approach, we dig deeply into the root causes of diseases. We use cutting-edge laboratories and technologies to diagnose problems that can effect health. Many of our clients come to us after they have been failed by conventional medical treatments making for a diverse, interesting and unique patient population. We treat environmental toxicities (heavy metals, mold toxicity, other chemicals), chronic infections (such as Lyme, Epstein-Barr Virus and long COVID-19), autoimmune disease, hormone imbalances and a variety of other issues. We also provide support for all stages of cancer treatment. We work in optimizing health and longevity for individuals who are already healthy, but want thriving and vibrant health. We use a wide variety of innovative, integrated treatment modalities. These include Vitamin IV therapies, acupuncture, herbs, supplements, platelet rich plasma, peptides and ozone therapies. We try to minimize use of pharmaceutical medications, however we use them when appropriate and necessary.

RN position

MBCWC is currently seeking well qualified nurses (RN, BSN or higher level) for a fulltime position in our clinic. Applicants must demonstrate excellent customer service and patient rapport, expertise in IV access and phlebotomy and computer literacy. Our office is an integrated medicine practice which serves a wide array of patients seeking help for complex medical conditions. Applicants must show compassion for people in need and suffering from difficult to treat medical issues.

Initial Expected Hours: 40 per week
Overtime hours paid at 1.5 times hourly rate
Pay Period: Bi-Weekly
Location: On-site
2. Requirements
a. Physical
Sitting, standing, walking in clinic from 8-12 hours per day, 4 x week
Lifting up to 20 pounds
Assisting with transfer of patients on and off of exam tables
Climbing small ladders, reaching overhead
b. Professional
MUST be able to start an IV, mix an IV, and draw blood
Assist in office surgical procedures
Chaperone for gynecological exams
Take Vitals
Perform in clinic: Urinalysis, Urine pregnancy tests,
Rapid tests (Flu and/or COVID-19)
Administer subcutaneous, subdermal and intramuscular injections
Assist and perform medical aesthetics procedures
Monitor lab results
Computer Proficiency : Microsoft Office, Email, Internet Search, EMR
Counseling: Able to convey complex health information to patients
Able to provide compassionate counseling to patients
3. Abides by the highest ethical standards of patient care, in compliance with HIPPAA and other applicable practice guidelines

Requirements
Develop relationships with the patients of MBCWC to facilitate and expedite their care. Specific examples of this include, but are not limited to:
i. Welcome patients and their family members into the practice, provide an orientation to the clinic and the conduct of their care
ii. Educate patients regarding conduct of lab and radiological testing
iii.Coordinate referrals and follow up appointments
iv.Make reminder phone calls, texts and emails regarding appointments
v. Facilitate communication between patients, their family members and the health care team at MBCWC
vi.Educate patients regarding diet plans, supplement/herbal/ medication regimens and lifestyle changes as prescribed by the doctor
vii. Counsel patients regarding aesthetic procedures.
viii.Counsel patients regarding medical therapies
ix.Provide compassionate support to all patients seeking care at
MBCWC
b. Maintain compliance with HIPPAA privacy standards
c. Document communication with patients and the progress of their care
d. Provide excellent customer service and serve as a liaison for the practice to assist in settling patient complaints
e. Develop and implement care strategies and health promotion programs
f. Assist clinic patient flow with check in, room turnover and check out
g. Assist in ordering, receiving, organizing and maintaining appropriate inventory of testing materials and medical supplies
h. Answer phone calls, return messages, schedule appointments
i. Communicate with outside health care providers, labs, suppliers and vendors
j. Conduct transactions to collect payments for treatments, consultations, supplies and supplements
