Help patients feel relaxed and comfortable while asking detailed questions about their health history and current health conditions/complaints.
Work closely with patients, caregivers, physicians, legal representatives and facility staff to ensure that patients receive proper care and are treated well.
Perform routine assessments based on the patient's medical requests on a daily basis.
Assess patient injuries up to and including emergency medical treatments at the basic life support level (BLS) as needed for cases such as hemorrhage, cardiac arrest and similar emergencies.
Follow established environmental, infection control, and safety procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff and to maintain a sterile environment.
Notify supervising physician immediately if you notice any unusual patient health problems or events that require immediate care.
Transcribe orders from medical providers and administer medications to the county inmates as prescribed.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Current certification in First Aid/CPR
Knowledge of clinical standards of care
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
