The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures; handles
and administers radiopharmaceuticals; maintains radiation safety. Prepares examinations for interpretation; and assists with maintaining supplies.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Education: Associate or Bachelor degree in allied health/Nuclear medicine Technology from an AMA approved school, or program that otherwise meets the requirements to be registry-eligible.
Licensure/Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
Experience: Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.
